No AI Legal, Emergency, Guilt, or Case-Merit Decisions

Question

Should Stage One add an AI assistant to answer legal and emergency questions?

Problem

A conversational tool can sound authoritative, invent facts, give the wrong jurisdiction, expose private information, and create dangerous reliance before professional and safety controls exist.

Decision

Stage One will not include an AI legal assistant, emergency assistant, case classifier, guilt assessment, or case-merit decision tool.

Rationale

Technology may later support controlled internal tasks, but it cannot substitute for qualified judgment, safe intake, or human responsibility.

Alternatives considered

Generic chatbot with disclaimer; AI trained only on official links; automated legal-routing assistant; emergency triage bot.

Risks

The website may feel less interactive. Clear structured content is safer and more honest at this stage.

Scope impact

No chatbot, automated case answer, or generative legal response appears.

Privacy and safeguarding impact

Visitors are not invited to disclose cases to an AI system.

Owner and review

Owner: Founder. Review date: December 7, 2026.

Reconsideration trigger

A narrow use case, approved knowledge base, human oversight, privacy review, safety testing, and public decision exist.

Reversal path

A future decision may approve a non-case administrative assistant with strict limits. Legal, emergency, guilt, and merit decisions remain prohibited.

History

Stage One baseline decision.
